Juice Recipe

For all of my fellow juicers out there, here is a recipe a classmate of mine shared with me today. It includes papaya (see previous post below) and kale (another one of my favorite nutritious foods). NOTE: Be sure to use organic ingredients. I am excited to try this recipe!

Clear Skin Green Juice:
romaine lettuce
kale or spinach
1-2 apples or pears
1 lemon
1/2 papaya
1 beet

What I learned in class today: Top 3 Fruits

Did you know that three of the most nutritious fruits are Avocado, Papaya and Guava? We eat avocado all the time. It is one of Emerson's favorite foods. However, I can't remember the last time I had a guava or papaya. A guava has about four times as much Vitamin C as an orange!

5.25.13 UPDATE: Papaya is a high GMO crop so make sure you purchase and eat certified organic, non-GMO papaya.

Trick or Treat

This made me laugh! I have been contemplating what to pass out this Halloween and how I will handle all of the candy as Emerson get older. I won't do this, but it sure is funny!!
